Do I need to book an appointment when visiting Brides of Liverpool?
It is advisable to make an appointment, especially if you are planning a weekend visit. To book an appointment, please call us on 0151 709 1616 or fill in our ‘Request Appointment’ form.
How long does an appointment last?
An appointment normally takes around 1.5 hours, which allows you time to browse the collection and try on your selected dresses without feeling the need to rush.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
It may be worth bringing a strapless bra (only if you own one already) to your appointment and occasionally, Brides bring their own shoes (if dress length may be an issue). These are, however, not essential.
How many guests are allowed at the appointment?
We want you to enjoy your time with us and would recommend that you bring 2 or 3 guests whose opinions you trust and value.
We understand, however, that some Brides prefer to bring a larger party. We don’t want to limit your number of guests, but would kindly ask that you let us know, when booking your appointment, if you intend to bring a larger party.
Are children welcome at Brides of Liverpool?
Children are very welcome at Brides of Liverpool: weddings are for families to enjoy! There is space to accommodate a pram and we have on-site toilets.
Which designers do you have in store?
We are delighted to be the Liverpool area stockists of Pronovias, Atelier Pronovias, Mori Lee and Sincerity. We also have a new designer arriving into Brides of Liverpool in September 2018; news to follow!
What size dresses do you stock?
Most of our dresses range between a size 10 and a size 16. We have a range of plus size dresses varying between sizes 18 and 26.
What is your price range?
The price of a new, made-to-order wedding dress ranges between £899 and £2,725 with most gowns ranging between £1,199 and £1,899.
Our ex-sample wedding dresses, which are available to buy ‘off-the-peg’, range from £399 to £999.
We want you to enjoy your appointment with us and be comfortable knowing that you are trying dresses on within your budget. Please don’t hesitate in discussing your budget requirements with us at the beginning of your appointment.
When’s the best time to start looking for my dream wedding dress?
We recommend that you start looking for your wedding dress at least 10 – 12 months before your wedding day, however every Bride is different and has her own ideas about her dress and wedding day; we say whenever you feel ready!
It’s worth bearing in mind that a new, made-to-order gown normally takes 12 – 16 weeks to arrive after purchasing and another 8 – 10 weeks is required for alterations to be completed in good time.
If your wedding date is much sooner than that, please don’t worry. Our stockists are outstanding (we consciously choose designers who also have exceptional customer service) and are often able to provide dresses very quickly. Our fantastic team in store will also work round the clock to ensure that your dress is ready in time for your wedding.
I have found my dream dress. How do I pay for it?
Firstly, congratulations! We have various methods of payment made available to you. Please take a look at our ‘Payment Options’ page where all is explained.
Do you have an alterations service available?
Yes, our fantastic alterations service is in-house and all fittings take place in store. The dresses never leave the premises, minimising any risk of damage. This service is available to all Brides who purchase a gown with us. Please note that alterations are chargeable.
How many dress fittings do I need?
Most Brides have 2 dress fittings; the first around 10-12 weeks before the wedding and the second approximately 4 weeks before. A third fitting may be required, depending on the alterations being carried out. Once all fittings have been completed, the dress will be beautifully pressed, ready for collection at a suitable date/time (normally a couple of days before the wedding).
What options do I have if I’m taking my wedding dress abroad for my wedding?
We are happy to pack your wedding gown into an airline box (which we sell in store) or into a suitcase that you provide. This service is provided free of charge to all Brides who purchase a gown with us.
